Reedy is pleased to announce the 2019 Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions will continue for a fifth consecutive year at OCRC Raceway in Huntington Beach, CA from January 24-27, 2019.At the top of many racers’ must attend list, the atmosphere and intensity of the race draws spectators and fans from around the world to participate and spectate.The Open class remains is a single registration that includes an entry in to both the 2wd Open and 4wd Open buggy classes. This is done to streamline the event and to assist with organization.Entries for the 2019 Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions open at noon, PST on September 1, 2018 exclusively on www.rcsignup.com and close September 30, 2018 at midnight, PST. As in previous years, the event features its traditional 2WD Open and 4WD Open classes along with the combined 2WD/4WD Invitational format.To allow everyone an opportunity to be a part of the 25th running of the Reedy Race, a lottery drawing for the Open class will be conducted on October 1st for the 100 available positions. Open class drivers who made the a-mains in the 2018 event, along with minimal event sponsor exemptions and lower ranked Invitational drivers will be guaranteed a spot in the open classes. This usually amounts to approximately 20 drivers. Entry fees are only collected after the lottery drawing and for the selected Open and Invitational drivers. Remember, included with the $200 entry fee for each confirmed and paid entry is a complete set of control tires and inserts for both vehicles along with a personalized grab bag from the event sponsors.Drivers who are qualified for the Invitational class are the only ones who should register for the Invitational class and are listed here: www.reedyrace.com/2019/offroad/qualified.html. As always, only the top qualified drivers will be selected to compete in the ultra-competitive Invitational class, however all qualified drivers are guaranteed a position in the open class.Stay tuned to www.reedyrace.com for more information and event updates.
